I don’t have any specific information on how this family lives, but it seems to me a dedication to “unschooling” is quite different indeed from homeschooling.

Do parents have a right to raise their children without any schooling at all? At some point parents not fulfilling their obligations becomes child abuse. I have no idea whether these parents have crossed that line.

Plenty of government schools are not meeting their obligations. I call that child abuse ....and....taxpayer abuse, too!

That would depend on Kentucky law regarding schooling I would guess. If or not the children are, for that matter the mother and father, are meeting the requirements for an “unschooled” environment. Some that are "unschooling" their children say this couple is giving them a bad name. OS we just have to see how this washes out.
