Depends on the city. Detroit is probably the most heavily armed large city in America. Hardly a day passes when one of the churches doesn't hold some kind of armed defense and firearm safety course.
Detroiters are even taking their guns to church. When Rosedale Park Baptist had trouble with drug dealers and car thefts, Pastor Haman Cross Jr. told his congregants from the pulpit that they should consider getting concealed-carry permits.
"I love the Lord; I'm a Christian," he says. "But like I told the congregation, let's send a message right in front. I want the word out in the community, if you steal any of our cars, I'm coming after you."

Its producing people like Paris Ainsworth who despite being shot 4 times herself, still managed to return fire hitting 2 of 3 assailants (One of them twice)
Most important in my eyes is the way its bringing inner city blacks into contact with conservative whites in friendly settings with common goals.
You make a good point there.
It almost amazes me that the lady in the picture wasn’t arrested and a made an example of by the left-wing district attorney but he/she is probably black and so is this woman so there would be no “getting back at Why T.”
Still, Detroit has been learning a very interesting set of lessons these past few decades. I hope their scholarship succeeds!
As for places such as New York and New Jersey—and sorry Illinois (because of Chicago voters), Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Maryland in the east, and California, Oregon and Washington to the west (I know, Washingtonians, it is Seattle’s fault), those places have trained their citizenry that guns are evil and only should be in the hands of the government and the rednecks with all their guns out in the country are crazy and not good people like them.
I’m not wishing it, but it would be interesting to see how they’d twist such deadly attacks and probably double-down on gun control.
