Fox News Channel host Bill OReilly argued it is bogus to invoke freedom of speech in the debate over the Mohammed Art Exhibit and Contest on Thursday.

O’Reilly: Bogus
O’Reilly, Juan Williams, et al.: Their position is simply, Submit to Sharia Law.
Another example of why I never watch him, or Faux News, anymore.
I watch now only on FoxNews, Megan Kelly and Sean Hannity, that is it. They are the best ones now on FoxNews.
I’m one who generally sides with reprisals.
By this I mean, if I’m on a jury trying a guy for assault because he punched out another guy because the other guy said, “f*** your mother”, I’m voting “not guilty”. If Andreas Serrano got a beatdown for the crucifix in urine “artwork”, I’d be voting “not guilty” as well, as long as he wasn’t dead or crippled as a result.
Society would be better, and more harmonious, if we refused to criminalize private disputes where the provocative party “got what was coming to him”.
What you think about this “event” depends on whether or not you think muslims, in general, “have it coming to them”. And it depends, a little, on who you think should be delivering the comeuppance.
My preferences are, in general, that all muslims (collectively) should not have their faith abused and that the retaliation for the outrageous acts of jihadis should be delivered by the USMC rather than Pamela Geller.
This whole incident was a huge display of the double standard between insulting Islam and Christianity; it had more value in exposing that than as a free speech lesson (which was good as well). People that cower from drawing Mohammed will eventually submit to having bacon pulled from grocery store shelves.
All these people complaining about Pam Geller are using the same argument that says a rape victim was “asking for it” because of the way she dressed. Bogus argument.
Agree. And Lou Dobbs on Fox Business rocks to. He’s an excellent alternative to Greta.
Why I don’t watch Fox News.
Like I just said on another thread - what would the response be if a left winger held and event that offended Christians, and two guys were so inflamed that they planned to shoot up the event. Who would O’Reilly and the rest be criticizing, and who would be defended as exercising their freedom of speech?
Welcome to Dhimmitude.
Bill, you ignorant slut.
O’Reilly is the world’s biggest egotistical windbag. He personifies “bloviating”.
Their “faith” is a totalitarian political system with built-in war plan that uses religion as a beard and a means of social control.
Yet FoxNews has two shinning stars, Megyn Kelly and Sean Hannity.
Ted Baxter strikes again.
If O'Reilly hadn't chosen the field of entertainment via blasphemy against Christianity he might have a point. But "moderate" Muslims or "law-abiding" or whatever are not the problem. The problem is the radicals who are not watching videos or viewing cartoons, they are radical because they want to kill people and want sex slaves. These cartoons flush out the radicals such as those two in Texas and force them to make mistakes. Luckily we had a good cop on hand to capitalize on their mistakes.
