Twitter is a minefield if you are celebrity or famous. Every time you tweet, you need to ask, “Is this the tweet that is going to destroy my career?”
And it’s very hard to make a point with under 140 characters. The risk is high that you will damage yourself and very low that you will say something so pithy and clarifying that it will end up in a book of quotes.
It’s just not worth it.

He wasn't harassed over anything in particular he said on Twitter. On Twitter, he was everything the SJW feminists could ask for. And they still took him down for his "crimes" in a movie he directed.
The good news is, the SJW movement is starting to eat its own (this is but an example). The bad news is they're doing that because they've effectively neutralized just about everyone else, and they're jockeying for the spoils.
