Alison was inserting a very clever logically fallacy.

She was repeating over and over that a criticism of islam is an automatic criticism of each and every muslim. For example, as Pamela was saying that islam permits no humor, Alison would raise the point that such statement means that Pamela is saying that each and every muslim has no sense of humor.

I am thinking that her news chief was insisting on this because she would not have made this point at Fox.

Exactly right. The interviewer kept trying to make Geller defend a point she didn’t make and Geller wasn’t having it.

bait and switch? This is a standard tactic of the Left. Use misdirection to deal with one's opponents.

Alison decidedly missed the whole point about free speech and instead wanted to make this a debate about what Gert Wilders or others say about Islam. Even if Gert or Pamela think nasty things about Islam, so what? Is Islam considered so sacred that it is unique in its exception to free speech?
