Yes, the English press is in dithers about this event being “provocative”. Anyone remember the scene from the movie Patton where the mayor of a town in Germany came up to Patton during the Occupation and complained that allowing Jews to have their first religious service in town after the war would be “provocative”?? Remember Patton’s response: “Provocative?? ***!!!”
