The contest had a $10,000 prize for the best draw Mohammed picture.
It was also held at a location owned by the Garland School district that had rented it out for a “rally for the prophet” Muslim event a few weeks ago, where they essentially protested criticism of Islam after the Charlie Hebdo killings.
The choice of venue was intentional, and the building had lots of people who had drawing images of Mohammed (often in a satirical way) and many more to view them or hear Geert Wilders or Pamela Geller speak.
The Muslims targeting it was also intentional.

This was an Islamic terrorist attack.

The fact that this event had a huge military presence in order to even hold it attests to the fact people see this country's security threatened by Muslims......The fact people are arming up says as much. Unfortunately Officials and the Muslims here of course won't and don't see it that way.

This was an Islamic terrorist attach against Americans on American soil..period.
