Liberals: The sun can’t cause warming or cooling because we can’t tax the sun. Therefore, warming or cooling must be man made.
Apparently this is what happened, two groups of scientists testified before the US government in the 80’s. One group claimed the current cool conditions of the late 70s were caused by a natural cooling cycle. They predicted a mini ice age by 2020. Another group claimed man made climate change would warm the planet over the next few years and cause problems. Well, both sides were right. The El Nino of 1998 caused short term warming. Now we are back to the long term cooling cycle with an mini ice age by 2020. So the science was as settled as good as it could be settled.
It appears that Global Warming is so severe that it is causing the sun’s magnetic field to collapse.
I’m no weather/climate guy, I just read a lot. I think Piers is correct, with only the timing and duration being in question, IMHO.

This group is different from the GW alarmists — this prediction is based on the sun’s behavior, not exaggerated claims about the effect of CO2, invented by Enron to increase their credits market and continued by Gorebull.

Let’s see, yep, we have 268 days, 10 hours, and about 45 minutes until the world is destroyed by global warming, or climate change, or something. Guess I’ll spend my 268 last days riding horses, drinking whiskey, and pursuing women of questionable morals and reputation.
