Really...at a voluntary meeting?

Was the building they were meeting in paid for and maintained with voluntary taxes? Is his salary paid for by volunteers?

If they had all been down on rugs jibbering about Allah you would have a different opinion about this.

Have the meeting at a church. Why is that so hard?

When I was in high school (admittedly many years ago), our football coach prayed with the players before and after games and they had masking tape in the shape of a cross on their helmets with “faith” and “pride”. No one complained. Of course, we didn’t have muslims at my school, either.

We also didn’t have “resource officers” or kids arrested for drugs or guns.

It is impossible to have a religiously, culturally, or politically neutral education. Such a state of philosophic neutrality is impossible in the mind of any sentient human.

Therefore!

Begin the process of privatizing K-12 schooling. Vouchers, charters, tax credits, and homeschooling will help to build the private infrastructure. The goal of every conservative should be Complete Separation of School and State.

You are making a very good point.

Christians and conservatives cheer when bibles are handed out but ( recently) Satanists have begun handing out their material and the Christians and conservatives are horrified.

So you think there should be no prayers on public property, huh?

You must also think that teachers who pray with their students in a voluntary meeting of Christian Athletes at school should be fired.

Why are you here on Free Republic?

Poison Pill. That's a good name for you.

“Is his salary paid for by volunteers?”

Was he on his own time when at the meeting?

Also: does freedom of religion mean freedom FROM religion, or does it extend to individuals being allowed to express their religious views and act on their religious beliefs in public?

How about a group of atheists holding a meeting on evolution of the species on school property, that ok?

In one Canadian province (not sure about other provinces) any group can rent public school property for $20 a year if the building is not otherwise being used for school activity. In some cases janitorial services have to be paid also.

Church is wherever two or more believers gather in Jesus’ name. That’s according to his word.

Your point has no validity.

Well, obviously, since islam is evil and belongs nowhere in American society.
