[history]
Last week, Family Research Council President Tony Perkins was invited to be on "Face the Nation." What was supposed to be a cordial conversation about the Supreme Court and same-sex marriage turned out to be a professional ambush.
Host Bob Schieffer pounced on the Family Research Council, calling them an anti-gay hate group. He was using discredited intelligence from the Southern Poverty Law Center. It was an ugly interview.

The good news about Bob is that he’s 78 and looks it. How much longer can he live? :-)

Yeah! We’re in a war. It’s about time we started acting like it.

Good point. It will take some training, we are not used to such battles.

Well, really the goal ought to be to impart wisdom.

What if we can turn it into the Lord’s ambush for them?
Ambushes work both ways.

Kind of sad that someone can live that long and wisdom remains to him like water off a duck’s back.
God is going to tell him that He is very disappointed.

I havent watched CBS News in ages, neither ABC, CNN, or NBC, PMSNBC Most people don't.
I think the American people are on to the worthless RATagandists...hence the need for, and popularity of "alternative media"....plus the online resources.

Yep, that’s liberals. It does no good for conservatives to act with retraint as if they’ll see the error of their ways. It looks weak because it’s a weak reponse. Go into these interviews knowing you’re confronting an enemy. Make it us versus them because that’s reality. Let the viewer decide whose side they’re on.

Conservatives need to stay off shows run by haters... Let liberal elites live in their own damn bubble... we don’t need to step in to be beat up.

Your words remind me of the show, “Lost.”. We know that was about Purgatory, but in reality (and, consistent with the Protestant's perspective), our Purgatory is “now.”

I remember watching the Exorcist when it first came out, and although lame by today’s standards I remember the scene with Father Merrin (Max von Sydow’s character) before going to perform the exorcism, he says to Father Karras, something like “it’s important to avoid conversations with the demon. He is a liar. He will lie to confuse us. But he also mixes lies with truths to attack us. The attack is psychological and powerful. So do not listen to him.”
I always remembered that. I think about that when I watch these kinds of show, but I still don’t know why any conservative falls for it.

Schieffer should be a little more careful. He’s much too close to his ‘reward’ to be casually offending his Creator.

Absolutely. The point is to enlighten the audience by demonstrating what idiots the hosts are. Also to inflict damage on the hosts’ credibility with the audience. And to demoralize the hosts and the people who agree with the hosts. And to inspire the people on our side by winning the argument for our ideas. And, more abstractly, to stand up for truth and sanity. These are noble, constructive, righteous goals.
