It is white people's problem. They did not “Soul Search” enough. Sure. White people. Not generations of the family breaking down, rejecting education, not requiring accountability and responsibility from black people. It is white people not ‘soul searching’ enough.

Freddie Gray was a criminal. Laws were made prohibiting the kinds of things he did (mostly narcotics). The police are charged with enforcing those laws. The system kept returning Freddie Gray back to the streets. I am not excusing or condoning whatever police actions that lead to his death, but if we are supposed to understand the 'black experience' in excusing their behavior, can we not at least look at the 'police experience', the frustration that must exist when you arrest a known lawbreaker that is continually returned to the streets. Sooner or later, a lenient legal system will fan police abuse.
