This is another 17th Amendment-related issue imo.

I understand from another thread that the feds are not allowing states to check voter citizenship status on (mandatory use?) federal voting applications.

Obama Admin. Won’t Let States Ask for Proof of Citizenship … On Voter Registration Form!

One problem with this federal action that the Supreme Court has historically clariifed, in Minor v. Happersett, that citizenship does not automatically confer the right to to vote.

In fact, the only voting rights that the states have amended the Constitution to expressly protect deal with race, sex, tax status status and age as evidenced by the 15th, 19th, 24th and 26th Amendments respectively. So there is no constitutionally protected right to vote on the basis of citizenship.

So even though the feds have the constitutional authority to regulate immigration (1.8.4), is still up to the states to decide whether or not someone can vote based on their citizenship status imo.

And the reason that the 17th Amendment is a problem is that federal senators should have protected their states by not passing the bill that prohibits states from checking citizenship status on federal voting applications.

The 17th Amendment needs to disappear along with corrupt senators.

Because the people the fraudsters are voting in are in charge and duh, why would they care?
Until there is voter ID, etc. we are screwed...but maybe we are already.

Notwithstanding a few constitutional amendments regarding race, age and gender, States set voter qualifications as per Article I Section 2.

For the national government, let alone a single stinking bureaucrat, to otherwise set voter quals is another example of Obama tyranny.

The circle of liberty contracts every day.

Article V while we can.
