... Most likely they’ll win against that charge. A reasonable mistake isn’t a violation of the law.

Especially if the suspect flees when they're trying to investigate whether or not the knife is legal.

By the way, did they ever even officially arrest him, or did they take him to the hospital before booking him?

This will be THE case that every Black from now on uses as
justification for their Racist rants of abuse, discrimination, illegal arrests etc.

Valarie Jarrett and Nero are pulling the Strings here. Their Spokesman, Al Sharpton will be speaking on their behalf.

He never made it to booking. He was paralyzed and unresponsive and was taken to the hospital.

The Supreme Court considers transportation away from the scene of a temporary detention to be an arrest.
