Suppose you were a woman without an education and saddled with two kids without a father. Factor in all the bennies you get on welfare and translate that into a job. How many women could have a lifestyle equivalent to welfare?
Not working pays more than working. Everyone says “for the children” while they lock mom into be dependent. Without entering the labor market how will her circumstances change? And how does that model of family life affect her children?
Well academic discussion here as I think we are both of like minds on this topic.
First, we have a morals problem with kids out of wedlock. Second, we have a welfare system that encourages a woman to make X amount and not any more.
