Who’s talking about looting, about a fight
about throwing rocks and then fires to ignite.
I’m talking about people who get hurt the most
the peaceful, the caring and empathetic hosts.
One thing for sure is the politicians don’t care,
just as we know that the criminals don’t scare.
Forget the cops with their union and pension plan,
when it gets down to you and me they don’t give a damn.
The cops the pols want you on bended knee
sometimes even a blind man can see.
Mr. Gray was killed ‘tis true
It could have been me, or you
His was surely an awful plight
To be sent to hell that fateful night
The cops involved must now pay a price
But burning whitey is not nice
Your peaceful caring empathetic hosts
Are hurting those who give the most
The ones who pay for your peaceful host
To burn their city into toast
Tell me how these caring folks
are the helpless ones who give the most
If you’re worried bout cops and politicians, you see
Your caring friends hurt you and me
They give cause for worse police
And for government to further fleece.
You are kindly but misguided much
Your erstwhile friends are simply looting, lying criminal thugs and vandals
They should be shot en masse
Sorry that last part doesn’t rhyme but it would be poetic...
