There are a fair number of pastors who should just sit next to their parishioners. We even know of one who preaches at a small town church who is actually an atheist. The congregation likes him, so they keep him anyway.

I left the first church we joined here in KY because after a few months it became clear that I knew more about the content of the bible than, apparently, even the pastor.

They disagreed with me on a few points yet could not argue their position at all. It was like they just kept hearing the same thing all their life and, well, they believed it.

One of my friends here became a pastor of a ~80 member church that eventually fired him because he was truly stirring things up regarding popular beliefs and what the bible actually sez. He told me there were members there in the later years of their life that had been going there reqularly since they were children - and didn’t know the difference between the old and new testaments.

Has God’s Word on sin been wrong all along and should He change his mind? He appears to have been “corrected” by Hillary and others. Note to God: You may be Lord of Creation, but ya ain’t Hillary!
