I think a lot of us are asking that question why was he out and about a week after surgery like that.

One bad decission by one person turns the whole city upside down

I read where the autopsy said the cord was 80% severed and a cervical vertebra was broken. Additioally, the report said the trachea was crushed. (I have only read that in one report). If Gray had surgery one week prior to the incident, a normal amount of restraint from the police could easily account for disruption of the surgically induced cervical fragment elevation to create this kind of injury to the spinal cord. I wonder why this was not made public earlier. At least prior to his burial. If true, it seems it would absolve the police.....there would be no way of knowing the surgery occurred 7 days prior to this takedown.
