In the wake of intense vocal opposition to a series of military exercises planned for this summer in Texas, Gov. Greg Abbott has instructed the Texas State Guard to monitor the operation dubbed Jade Helm 15.
Abbott sent a letter Tuesday to Maj. Gen. Gerald Jake Betty, commander of the Texas State Guard, directing him to provide regular updates to the governor to ensure that residents safety, constitutional rights, private property rights and civil liberties will not be infringed during the eight weeks of training from July to September.
U.S. military officials have described the Jade Helm 15 operations as a long-planned military exercise occurring throughout the Southwest including parts of Bastrop County that will include special forces units from multiple armed services, such as Army Green Berets and Navy SEALs. The training will take place in locations across Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah and Colorado.
In his letter, Abbott notes that the U.S. Special Operations Command, which is running the exercise, has assured Texas that each location selected for the training exercises will pose no risk to residents or property and that they will coordinate with local residents via verbal and written communication.

Sounds unconstitutional to me.
Was Tex State Guard, not National Guard.
I should’ve looked for colleges in Texas...
That is really a big misrepresentation of his words. He was asking permission!
Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater. The Army does NOT = Obama.
Not hammering on you, its just that idiot “white supremacist regime” BS is such utter crap.
Yes it was Apartheid, that was the government at the time.
If you search photos of that period and compare them to recent ones it is clear which form of government the local pops were better off with.
Very. Clear.
Sorry if you misunderstood my post.
.
I understood you, I knew that you weren’t meaning it for me.
Do you remember the picture of the guy clad in everything the State Guard issued? He had a hat, necktie and was holding his dress shoes in front of his groin.
The tiny State Guard is basically nothing but MPs used to direct traffic once in a while in emergencies such as a hurricane.
“The military brass basically told the people they couldnt do a thing about Operation Jade Helm, during which the military will roam the private land of residents without permission for three months.”
Wanna bet?
Good morning, Sandrat. How’s it going?
Good morning, E.G.C. It’s going OK.
Soon to have breakfast W/Coffee.
