Message for Johns Hopkins University Homewood campus:
Dear Homewood Students:
We are now modifying the shelter-in-place order at the Homewood campus. We are closing MSE Library, Brody Learning Commons, the Hutzler Reading Room and all other academic buildings on the Homewood campus for the night.
Students in those facilities who live in university housing are advised to go to that housing and remain there for the night. Security officers will be present in significant numbers to oversee your move across campus. Students who live off-campus are advised, if possible, to find an on-campus friend with whom you can shelter for tonight.
If that is not possible, we strongly advise you to spend the rest of the night in one of the following:
—AMR I Multipurpose Room
—AMR I Reading Room
—AMR I TV Room.
Students who are at their residence halls or in off-campus residences should remain there for the rest of the night.
Homewood Campus Safety and Securitys first priority will be to see that students living in university housing or staying in university housing for the night are seen safely from the libraries or rec center to those buildings.
After that process is complete, if Security has the capacity and if conditions remain safe, Security will escort students from other campus building to off-campus housing. If you need security assistance, please call 410-516-4600.
Sincerely, Robert C. Lieberman Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Daniel G. Ennis Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration
