My power remained on. It was dark as night, but the worst missed me a bit to the south. Just goes to show that New Orleans can’t handle THUNDERSTORMS-you think everyone should come on down, live and invest, when hurricane season threatens?? Even the airport is shut down-planes landing but no takeoffs. Electrical failures all over the place. Wind is still gusting above 40mph and here comes more thunderstorms. Incompetence everywhere. New Orleans ASPIRES to Third World status.

Just stop talking. Heavy thunderstorms like this would shut down any airport.

Please let me know cities you know of that can defy the laws of nature and physics. High winds blow stuff over in other places also. How would other cities have “handled” thunderstorms? I no longer live there but I spent most of my life there and yes the city has gone down but to blame outages etc on the city is stupid. I guess in other cities they don’t shut down airports in stormy weather. Are you for real? Do you even read what you write?
