The last time I was in the ER, I politely declined getting a tetanus shot, as my injury was not a deep puncture wound. I swear I was not being a difficult patient... I just did not believe I really needed a Tetanus booster.

The nurse wanted to punish me for my choice and so when the anti-inflammatory and pain shots finally were to be administered, she made sure it came with the "humiliation" of demanding that the shots be adminned in my asscheek. I didn't really care... it was more amusing than anything to see how petty this healthcare worker was.

I've seen worse... much worse.

Doctors, many of them, seem to have a need to be in control.

In some regards I can’t blame them since the majority of the people they see are complete idiots.

When they encounter an educated patient they can choose to do battle in some “ego play” or treat them with the proper respect.

Sadly, it’s the educated people that bear the brunt of the Physicians desire to “Practice Medicine”.

Shots last for a certain number of years anyhow. You can say you think you have a recent one.
