I would suggest a walk through the 7th, 8th or 9th ward of New Orleans. Park your car near a local bar and go in and have a beer. If you make it out of the bar do not count on your car being where you left it. Try this and you might change your mind about the need to carry. If you are white and do this and survive I would also suggest psychiatric help and for damn sure you are going to need medical help.
I carry but even though I carry, I do not go there unless it is in the daytime and I sure as hell do not get out of my car.

I am white and my sister just moved to New Orleans. I am looking forward to many visits. Not being frightened by black people gives me a lot of space to move around in, and a lot of recreational opportunities.
