A friend of mine who used to be a handgun instructor in the IDF racks the 1911 one-handed off his belt. Pretty neat and pretty fast. But I always carry mine chambered. 14 years ago I hydroplaned in the oncoming traffic. My Springfield was on the passenger seat chambered and my car got hit in the right B pillar. I was pretty broken up and survived only by the grace of God, gun was fine, no firing.
Oh, yeah, I’ve seen those guys do amazing things. I have a hunch if I tried it I’d end up bitch-slapping my assailant with an empty and bleeding hand. That’ll larn ‘em. ;-)
