I am not a supporter of modern police tactics and the Swatting of police forces. However, every single one of these causes of the day happened because the person the police were interested in either fought or resisted.

You will probably survive to see a lawyer if you just plead the 5th and wait for your lawyer. The guilty fight or flee and bring the weight down on them selves.

And, if slower than a pursuing Donut Eater, getting tackled does carry avoidable risks - those risks are why football players wear all those pads, shoulder protection, the helmet with face guard, etc.
