The new mayor of a Missouri city [next to Ferguson] had a tough first day on the job when she was met by police at City Hall and informed she had been suspended over allegations of voter fraud.
Betty McCray, the newly elected mayor of the city of Kinloch, was met in the parking lot at City Hall Thursday by police officers and the city attorney holding articles of impeachment, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.
You cant come in as mayor, attorney James Robinson told McCray. You have been suspended.
McCray, however, was defiant, telling Robinson, You may be the attorney now, but I promise you, you wont be later.

I won. The people spoke, McCray said, according to MyFox2Now.com. I was sworn in by the St. Louis County. Today I take office. I want them out, I want the keys.

I hope she fires them all when she steps into her official duties!
Kinloch has 56 LEO and the chief of police overseas a budget of $140 million?
How is that possible in a town of only 300 residents?
63 votes -- Betty McCray 16 votes -- Darren Small 2 votes -- Theda Wilson
Correction to this post #17. I don't know where I got
those numbers but other sources have the following:
38 votes -- Betty McCray 18 votes -- Darren Small 2 votes -- Theda Wilson
By running more radar than an AWACS.
It sounds like New Rome, Ohio. Unfortunately it looks the fun website www.newromesucks.com which told the story of the late, unlamented village has been taken down a decade after the village/speed trap was disincorporated).
Pulling from all reports I have read, the vote fraud was obvious and massive.
“I want them out. I want the keys.” is the telling statement.
This little dorf of a “town” is known as a hotbed of corrupt politics and politicians with their hands out.
This “lady” just wants her turn in the cookie jar. She got greedy, and now she’s bitching that she got cought rigging the election.
I see listed on a police website that they have 13 people in their police department. You might check your source again. They seem like they’re off!
Kinloch Police Department

“voters registered in Kinloch who no longer live there.”
probably never lived there, probably never existed.
That doesn’t appear to be the correct figure.
If I recall correctly there isn't any retail at all in Kinloch. It's like most of the other cesspools in North County. Kinloch preys on Ferguson drivers. Ferguson preys on Kinloch drivers. Both prey on drivers from Berkeley and Dellwood and Cool Valley. None of those burbs have police forces. They have revenue collection departments.
How does a mayor get suspended? Was that process properly followed?
I would think that if the county swore her in that they would be the ones to issue the suspension but I don’t know.

confusing...
She is a REPUBLICAN.
The outgoing black mayor hates the new elected black woman mayor. One co[ for each fifteen people in that town! Wonder if they have a crime problem.
I can see how the new Mayor bought a four bedroom house for $9000 a few years ago and the old Mayor is totally pi$$ed that he gave it away to her.
Still, it is a decent location that close to a major airport. If you were to settle 500 Jewish and Christian refugees from any Middle Easter hellhole in that town, it would be a thriving, vibrant community with shops and restaurants of every description in five years tops.
That's the first thing the new mayor ought to reqest.
Yeah, there is a discrepancy there ... :-) ...
“Check the cemeteries to find them”
Actually, check the section8 office for them.
The Demographics in this burb took a HARD turn this winter, when a Section 8 apartment complex was condemned, and closed down.
That opened the door for the Republican to win, after 37 YEARS of Democrat corruption.
PS- this “town” has 1 cop for every 14 people!
300 citizens in the town.
50 police officers.
Gee. I wonder why they don’t want her in office?
