We still don’t know what happened to Freddie Gray in Baltimore earlier this month, aside from the general agreement that he died in police custody with a nearly severed spine. The city’s leaders have been out in front of this, delivering information to the public as it comes in and investigating every aspect of the incident. There is clearly the possibility that there was police misconduct – or at least negligence in prompt medical care and safety precautions – going on, but the facts are still being gathered. Following yet another press conference where the mayor and the police commissioner brought citizens and the local clergy up to date at the end of the week, protesters delivered their response. We’re going to shut this city down.
Protesters vowed to shut down the city by marching through the streets and snarling traffic. The president of a black lawyers group predicted thousands of people would turn out for the demonstration, when good weather is forecast and the Baltimore Orioles host the Boston Red Sox.
Things will change on Saturday, and the struggle will be amplified, said Malik Shabazz of Black Lawyers for Justice. It cannot be business as usual with that mans spine broken, with his back broken, with no justice on the scene.
Shabazz has demanded the arrest of six officers involved in the arrest of Gray, who died Sunday a week after suffering a spinal injury while in police custody.
The officers are suspended with pay and under criminal investigation by their own department. The U.S. Justice Department is reviewing the case for any civil rights violations, and Grays family is conducting their own probe.

“I read posts through 33. Does anyone know HOW this thug got his back broke while in Police Custody?
That seems relevant. This question assumes of course that his back WAS broke?”
If their black police chief had any sense, he’d call in an independent agency to investigate the death. For me, it doesn’t matter whether or not the victim was a petty criminal. He did not deserve to die riding around in the back of a police van shackled but not restrained. My bet is that the cops decided to “take him for a ride to teach him a lesson.” Problem is, they managed to break his back and kill him. We can all prattle on about what a $hit hole Baltimore is ( and it most assuredly is), but if the cops can get away with this murder, none of us, no matter our skin color is immune.
But these aborigines who inhabit places like Baltimore, are too stupid to realize that they are being played by a bunch of racist black communists. American “black society” is a completely failed “society,” that would function just as well back in Black Africa in a “city” of mud huts.
Until proven otherwise, he fought the law and the law won.
NO, they’ll just move into another area and infect that place, too. Keep them where they’re at; then at least we know ‘where’ they’re are and have some coordinates for targeting.
The ‘blame game’ really works well, doesn’t it?6
The Paddy Wagon was never ‘padded’; it was named for the Irish, during the New York Draft riots of 1863:

While heading to Florida back around 1974 on I-95, we spotted one of those tall McDonald's signs advising us to take the next exit into Savannah, GA for burger nirvana. We thought we'd get faster service by going inside, so we did. We were the ONLY two white people in the place. To this day, I believe the only reason we left intact was the fact that my friend looked like a younger Danny Trejo.
Today’s ball game starts now. I can’t get it here but can anyone check it out and report what the attendance looks like? Thank you.
I’m mainly concerned with what’s going on today. Here’s one thing that isn’t in Baltimore;

Or his back was already broken before he took the ride in the wagon. They cuff a partially paralyzed man and do not restrain him during the ride. The result could be extreme, even ........fatal.
I'd say we might have five years left. Maybe.
I suspect some of how the police asked is a result of too many crooks ‘crying wolf’ while being arrested. Lie to good cops, using proper techniques, about fake injuries and fake complaints enough, and they won’t believe you when you really have something wrong. And that ‘you’ may not be you personally, but some other generic thug who has real injuries but is ignored because of others’ fake complaints. Cops inevitably get many more hours ‘training’ in the ‘hood’ than in their classrooms. Don’t blame them for what they learn there, blame their ‘teachers.’
So how would that change anything?
Asked=reacted. Dumb Siri.
It would be a far better pace if it were to be shut down .... No worse urban ghetto sh@thole exists anywhere on the planet than inner city Baltimore.
No place left to find peace
I saw that. It looks like his spine wasn't working before he got into the van.
Was he tackled?
