The old woman being sued in Washington state was being sued as both a person and business, by both men she refused service to AND the state.
They were threatening to take all of her personal assets as well as the business.
The state offered to settle for a few thousand dollars as long as she agrees to give service - and she refused the offer. The issue wasn’t money to them but principle.
