My daughter was a tomboy. She excelled at basketball, softball, etc. She is almost 30 and a girly girl. Being a tomboy is a natural phase for some girls. My niece wanted to be called “Raymond” when she was a kid. She wanted to dress like a boy. She outgrew it when she got to middle school.

Because I rode my horse when I was a young teen, I wore blue jeans. I don’t think they even made girls blue jeans back then so I wore boys jeans.

I remember making a promise to myself that I would always wear blue jeans even if the other girls and women did not.

Little did I know that one day all girls would wear girls jeans.

At 75 years old I still wear jeans but I don’t ride horses anymore.
