The Free Republic Complain About Trey Gowdy Crowd is out in force today.

LOL. You noticed!!!

Let them rant. Gowdy is operating within the constraints of his position and mission and the maneuvering of Hitlery and her lawyer. I have faith in Gowdy. He is absolutely the best choice for heading this investigation. I'm no Boehner fan but he did, after all, pick the right guy.

To those who choose to rant and post rather than read I would suggest that they calm down, be patient and at the minimum read the last paragraph of the Gowdy letter and try as hard as possible to understand his strategy. It's a good one. Here it is:

“Unless we hear differently from you, the Committee will schedule a public hearing with Secretary Clinton in which to discuss ensuring the public record is complete the week of May 18, 2015, and we look forward to coordinating a day that week convenient for Secretary Clinton, If that hearing results in assurances the public record is indeed complete, the Committee will schedule Secretary Clinton’s public hearing with respect to the 2012 terrorist attacks in Benghazi no later than June 18, 2015.”

That May 2015 deadline is on Trey Gowdy, not Hillary Clinton.

I predict that on May 18th Hillary will say, “F*** off, Republicans, I’ve got a campaign to run!”

On June 18th she will say, “Come and get me, coppers! No one’s gotten me yet!”

Pardon my pessimism but it goes back at least to 1992.

Thanks to both of you. It is difficult for some to realize that Rome was not built in a day. Gowdy, as per his training (from education and experience), is keeping the high road while understanding that one mis-step by him will discredit the entire investigation. He is methodically advancing the pursuit, while closing off avenues of escape. It is imperative that he doesn’t overreach. As is apparent from his letter, there is much going on behind the curtain.

I’m curious, do either of you think there may be a “quiet” effort to get emails from Immelt at GE? Others? My experience with prosecutors is that they will seek information which confirms and verifies what the bad guy says. In fact, that is my experience with all competent lawyers and/or parents. IP, I like the analogy of the lion stalking the gazelle. Unfortunately with our culture of 20 second sound bites, there seems to be more of an interest in a pack of wild dogs pursuing prey.

>> be patient

I have been patient. My patience with these ineffectual grandstanders has limits, however.
