BREAKING NEWS At least 71 people died after a powerful magnitude-7.9 earthquake shook Nepals capital and the densely populated Kathmandu Valley around noon Saturday, Nepal's Home Ministry says.
Sky News also reports that at least 50 people are trapped underneath rubble of the citys iconic Dharahara Tower, one of Kathmandus landmarks built by Nepals royal rulers in the 1800s and a UNESCO-recognized historical monument.

This is all the equipment that this poor nation has to dig through the rubble....human hands.
My prayer: God help these people.

There’s many obstacles to getting equipment and aid to the people...they’re having ‘terrible’ and frequent after shocks, enough to have closed the airport for several hours temporarily, the roads are in bad condition or blocked, and it does take lots of time to corridinate this when you have many nations bringing in aid and equipment.....not to mention having to carve out ways to the equipment in where needed...additionally it’s a rugged terrain to navigate.
This should tell us all that in a crisis of this magnitude it takes time to get to people and you’re really on your own for a while.

Racing against time! ....if these Nepal storms come will affect rescue efforts...... Combination of rain, snow (above 3000m) aftershocks could increase avalanche/landslides.

Things are going to get really hairy in Nepal if these storms roll in.....they already have so many obstacles to aid reaching the people...all they need is landslides and downpours!
Anytime anyone has to go thru natures forces it can be an ordeal..sorry you had to experience that but you have a general idea what it is like for the people there.
