“But legal immigration? Yes.”

How many? We take about 1.2 million a year now. Cruz says he wants to nearly double that. If Cruz thinks it’s a good thing to double it, wouldn’t it be even better to quadruple it?

We’ve recently taken in more legal immigrants than the rest of the world put together. What do we have to show for it other than more crowded roads, prisons, and schools? And welfare/social security/medicare/Medicaid systems already teetering on bankruptcy?

The great majority of the increase in our population is fueled by immigration. We’re over 300 million people now. At what point can we shut the immigration spigot down—500 million? One billion? Will we be a better country then?

Dunno.

I am concerned with waves of illegal immigrants.

I am not going to pick or unpick my choice of presidential candidate over legal immigration.

You can if you want, I’m not going to. I’m not opposed to legal immigration so long as laws are followed and enforced.
