A New Jersey lawmaker wants to ban an organic herb fueling the latest drug craze among teens.
As WCBS 880s Sean Adams reported, Kratom gives a high similar to heroin.
The substance is legal and kids can buy it, Adams reported.
The plant is related to coffee; it is native to southeast Asia and has long been used as an herbal pain reliever.
But it is also psychoactive and can cause hallucinations and addictions, says New Jersey Assemblyman Ron Dancer, who wants to make the substance illegal.
According to the FDA, there is a known toxicity in multiple organs that is leading to aggression, hallucinations, delusions, tremors, nausea, vomiting, Dancer said.
Unlike heroin, Kratom is not believed to cause respiratory depression. It is smoked, chewed and steeped like tea.
Its available at tobacco shops, gas stations and online.
The DEA calls it a drug of concern.
Indeed! That stuff must be really bad as even California is trying to cut back on its' wide usage.
So does watching ABC/CBS/CNN/MSNBC. Are they going to outlaw those stations? Please!?
“It’s organic man.”
That is the human equivalent of Lil Bub. http://lilbub.com/
Only not as charming.
Were I President....I would do an executive order....just prior to eliminating the EPA....forcing them to declare all that media mess to be a Toxic Dump Zone..requiring immediate action
LOL Quarantine them! Stuff them in drums and shove them in the lowest chamber of Yucca Mountain. Label ‘Do Not Open Before 3015.’
the mental image of Revrunt Sharpton...in cold storage.... does my hear good!!
He is now small enough for a 55 gal. drum. Thanks, Al!
I cant imagine what might happen If the Revrunt loses any MORE weight.

What a steaming pant load. I’ve drank Kratom tea before and the short lived effect is like drinking 1/2 of a strong beer.
Tastes like crap too.
but that would be too much to ask our esteemed ruling class.
