Students at Johns Hopkins University voted this week to ask the schools administrators to prevent Chick-fil-A from opening a store on campus.
Citing Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathys opposition to gay marriage, students said the presence of the chain on campus would be a microaggression against LGBT members of the community, Eater reports.
Though the Student Government Association approved the resolution, the move is purely hypothetical: theres no indication that the Johns Hopkins administration was in negotiations with Chick-fil-A, though some students had wondered whether the chain might open a location in a new building under construction on campus.

That is John Hopkins University’s loss. Chic-fil-A will just go where they are wanted.
RE: I wonder how Johns Hopkins feels about the beastiality in Denmark.
Where’s the news for that? Is that a common thing happening there now?
More Nazi Gleichschaltung.
What happened to John Hopkins? They used to have people like this running the show.

“microaggression”
So, any small, actually smaller than small (micro) aggression. Not even first hand aggression but a food chain that supports ANY THING you are opposed to is now a threat to your well being?
I guess they are all delicate flowers.
It is obvious they haven’t tried a CFA milk shake!
The elder Mr. Cathy has passed away, and his personal beliefs were his own anyway.
I am appalled at Johns Hopkins stupidity in doing this. It causes me to lose any respect i may have had for them.
That’s been our experience here in Washington (the state). Students threw CFA off the campus at Western Washington University in Bellingham a few years ago. They just opened 2 brand new locations in Bellevue and Tacoma, with a third planned for Lynnwood this summer.
Kinda funny...Tacoma was listed by “Out” magazine as the “Gayest City in America”. There was a Facebook page dedicated to protesting the Tacoma CFA once it opened. They’ve been open a week. Great crowds, good food. Haven’t seen a protest yet.
They should also cut any association with Starbucks after the CEO’s hateful speech towards those holding Christian beliefs. To only single out chik-fil-a screams of bigotry and hatred. To be genuine to all students on campus, they must remove all businesses who “offend.” Or better, they could just live and let live!

This was just in the news a couple of days ago.
What a pack of fruits.
Demonstrating once again the utter worthlessness of student government and the sort of people it attracts. Why administrations pay any attention to them is beyond me.
How many "students"?
I place it in quotes because any person who has that much free time to worry about such things is not doing much as far as being a college student.
There's no indication Chick fil A would ever want to be a on a campus with haters and fools. Why would anyone want to feed people who thought the most important ethical issue of the day was what hole to stick it in...
Chick-fil-A is the only fast food place that I'll eat. I value my arteries over political correctness. Since Hopkins guys could really be the smartest guys in the room, they might reconsider their priorities.
Maryland. Figures. Another one of the dumb states.
So Johns Hopkins is basically saying that people who oppose gay marriage are not welcome on campus. If I am a Christian employee of JH, and if I oppose gay marriage, isn’t the university creating a hostile work environment by suggesting that people like me have no place on campus? And isn’t a hostile work environment, based on animus towards religion, a violation of federal law?
Law of the Left: It’s okay when we do it.
It’s okay of a baker refuses to make a Christian cake
It’s okay if they refuse to cater a Christian event
etc etc
and they will never be brought to court by the DA either.
A lost generation.
Maryland "Freak State" PING!
There is a great big Starbucks hard by the Hopkins Homewood campus at 32nd and St Paul sts.
