A Texas police officer was following protocol Tuesday when he was caught on video throwing a drunk woman to the ground, knocking her unconscious, his police chief said.
On cell phone video, a witness captured Round Rock Officer Ben Johnson slamming the woman to the ground in front of her 6-year-old daughter in a strip mall parking lot. Viviana Keith, who was allegedly resisting arrest, hit her head on the pavement and was knocked out, KVUE reported Thursday.
Keith's mother and some witnesses to the incident have accused Johnson of using excessive force. But according to KVUE, Round Rock Police Chief Allen Banks said the officer did everything right -- not only because Keith was resisting arrest, but because she'd been driving around with her daughter while clearly drunk.

You want equality to men, you want to be treated like a man, ok then...
I stand by everything I posted. No backtracking, no apologies, nothing. I’m not a politician.
Of course not, you are seeking a dictatorship to beat us in the streets to get our minds right.
A guy like that isn’t going to change his mind, they just wish the worse for their fellow man, and that that they get to see it delivered.
I think it was in Seattle.

A solution not involving stupidity and being an ass in either direction would have been to have used his superior strength to get the cuffs on her.
I guess there are a lot of posters with no more common sense, intellect, or integrity than officer donut here.
Exactly.
Her hands were behind her back for how long?
What kind of pansy would the pig have to be to not be able to get the cuffs on one arm, then bring the other close enough to slap the other half of the set on the woman's other wrist? Both her hands (and most of her arms) were behind her back already...and she didn't appear to be trying to pull her arms away from him. The pig is a LIAR -- and so is the chief of police.
But that's what they do, LIE, and write down lies in police reports, themselves committing felonies when doing so!
But just look at that policeman. Physically he's a fine enough specimen of a man, in the prime of his life, broad shouldered, fit & strong (enough) but had to thrown a goofy damn face down with enough force it knocked her out, just to control her? What a chickenshit.
The only real "resistance" was verbal (if that).
So what does the pig do but drag it out as long as he can so that he can then say "she was resisting" in order to justify throwing her like she was a rag doll.
He had strength enough to easily toss her, having her land face down, but couldn't get the cuffs on her even though both hands were behind here back for -- what was it -- most of a full minute, perhaps more?
I didn't see the woman making arm movements like she was resisting the cuffs or trying to pull away from being cuffed. All she did was turn slightly (with her hands still behind her back) and object that she was not resisting.
Whatever else she said, well, what was it -- 'disrespect of cop' as that saying goes? And she had bad breath and was unpleasant to be around...
Verbal disrespect of cop does not equal "resisting arrest" to extent that large amounts of physical force are the best solution, although there may be times when an officer could rightfully enough chose that in order to prevent an actually potentially dangerous situation from spiraling yet further into realm of danger to all...
Yet here we are today with *some* police all over the country, mixing up and conflating the two (verbal objections to be equal to physically "resisting arrest", thus requiring significant amount of physical violence as the only option) when it is often (but not always) themselves who are making bad situations worse, doing so seemingly on purpose in order that they personally can administer beatings and injuries to people they look down upon.
I'm sure the pig (and he deserves to be called a pig) thinks himself justified for dealing out street justice because the woman was apparently intoxicated.
Are you drunk?
I will accept that your answers as being serious if you are willing to have a police officer treat you or a member of your family the same way. Otherwise, pure hot air.
