The original by Haydn, a set of variations on his tune “God Save Francis the Emperor”, which was his answer to “Le Marsellaise”.

Haydn: Quartet in C, Op. 76/3, second movement

It was such a great tune that the Lutherans turned it into a hymn. Then Bismarck got his hands on it. Hitler didn’t change the words, just the context of the word “über”.
