I bet you can get an awesome burger there.
You know something you don't see much of anymore... a hamburger stand. You know what I mean, one of those places where you just walked up to a window and ordered. Then you ate it on an old wooden picnic table or took it home in a white sack.
Some of those old places were great. The building would just be the size of a garden shed, and it was amazing the variety of food they could serve.
There are a lot more of these type diners around than people think.
Most are local owned and have to serve properly or they cease to operate.
Example; there is a donut shop that a good many of us went to for coffee and donuts in the morning. The gal who owned it asked us to leave because there got to be quite a good bunch who went there for about an hour in the morning and she insisted that we were taking up all the space for others...which wasnt true. So we all went to another place, and she is out of business as we let everyone know she seemed to not want business.
We still have at least one hamburger stand here that I know of, I’ve gone there with my husband, and you’re right, it’s terrific. The food is great, cooked while you wait, and the service is terrific. Local owners, my husband stands around and laughs and talks with the owners/employees while he waits. They have the same points of reference, etc, all being locals.
