We are taught that all humans belong to the species of (genus) Homo (species) Sapiens and to the subspecies of Homo Sapiens Sapiens. That all races and ethnicities are actually the same species and subspecies of modern human, i.e. Homo Sapiens Sapiens. However, if one digs deeper into this diversity within our species, several puzzling anomalies come to light. If a persons race can be determined from his skeletal remains, and a persons race, ethnicity and lineage can also be determined from their DNA, doesnt it indicate that the different races and ethnicities represent different subspecies within (genus) Homo (species) Sapiens? If we saw this anomaly among any other animal group, wed immediately recognize this as proof we were dealing with different subspecies. Some anthropologists now believe that modern humans are descendants of the several, at one time, extant subspecies of Homo Sapiens, with Europeans descending from Homo sapiens-neanderthalensis (Neanderthals).
When one digs deeper into this diversity within the Homo-sapiens-sapiens species, several puzzling anomalies come to light. If a persons race can be determined from his skeletal remains, and a persons race, ethnicity and lineage can also be determined from their DNA, doesnt it indicate that the different races and ethnicities represent different species and sub-species? If this link between Race, Ethnicity and skeletal remains, along with DNA evidence, was to be seen within any other animal group, we would immediately recognize this as evidence that were dealing with different species and sub-species.
Now, what would be the point in geneticists, scientists, researchers, and governments to lie or withhold this type of information from us? I think it is a crude attempt to promote world peace. If it is discovered that in fact, the different Human Races are actually different species, this may be justification for racism, genocide, and separatism.
I personally see us as different breeds. We call it race, but maybe it’s just the same thing.
Of course, now some are saying dog breeds may indeed be from different genetic pools, even different species altogether.
