I was watching TV the morning of the OKC bombing.

Eyewitnesses on the scene said they saw federal agents with dogs searching the outside of the Murrah Federal Building BEFORE the bombing.

Another eyewitness saw a truck parked down the street from the federal building which said, “Oklahoma City Police Bomb Disposal” or some such thing. Again, BEFORE the explosion.

There were also eye-witness reports of three men having been seen in the underground parking garage with "wires, tools and what appeared to be building plans" in the days before the attack, and reports that rescue workers had to evacuate the building - twice - because of "undetonated devices" being found.

Of course, there was also a report of the BATF Resident Agent Alex McCauley falling three floors in an elevator, walking away from it, and then helping rescue others trapped by the bomb. This fantasy was later discredited.

Much FUD was spread about this event.
