Actually, his conclusion is correct. The example he uses to illustrate his conclusion maybe a bit harsh, but his conclusion is correct.

The OP believes the person was born gay because the subject told him that he was gay. There was no data to support the belief outside of the opinion of the subject. IOW it is a “belief” not a fact. If the subject suddenly decides they are not gay, the “belief” changes.
Facts don’t change.
You cannot look at a baby and determine whether it is gay or straight so you cannot reach the conclusion it was “born gay” based on someone’s statement 20 years later.
