That is the problem here in NJ as well; Christie can only do so much (and he at least stabilized the tax situation, resulting in a lot of layoffs of public employees we can’t afford), but it will take a long time to make up the lost ground.
Look at what Obama has wrought in seven years (and I don’t think we’ll recover from most of it).
And you’ll well remember for a time at the end of Flim Flam Florio’s term and for part of Whitman’s, the GOP had huge legislative majorities in Trenton, only to piss it all away.
