I have been to Ramadi - I was there when several Marines were killed at Haditha Dam. I experienced attacks by the enemy shooting at our helicopter and firing over the fence at night. I saw the vehicles that had been destroyed by roadside bombs or RPGs and heard the stories of the soldiers involved.
I saw the dedication of our men and women in uniform, many of whom put their lives on hold because their country called - I met medical students, nursing students, and others who represent our best and brightest. I heard how bureaucratic “terms of engagement” prevented them from returning fire if they were atatcked from the roof of a house.
And it breaks my heart to see how the occupier of the Oval Office has allowed all of that effort and sacrifice (some giving the ultimate sacrifice) to dissolve - when we had the war won.
It appears that the JV team has been praticing while our commander has his head in the sand (or some other dark place).
Well, it looks like we will get another chance to fight them - they are expanding their presence and even making noises in this country.
I weep for our country and the decline it has been allowed (or encouraged) to go through these past six years.
What Obama and the idiots that empower him have wrought is an obscenity and will live in infamy if we survive.
My son spent his whole 2nd Iraq tour at Ramadi, spring of 2007. It is so sad what is happening/being allowed to happen now.
The next two years will be down an even steeper hill ... followed by a huge decline under the 8 years of Presient Hillary ... by then Mochelle shoud be ready to run ...
