I think it's up to each individual to decide for themselves what level of sin they want to tolerate. I personally think the sin of homosexuality is tainted with a particular and extreme sort of evil, and I find it far more offensive than divorce or promiscuity.

Homosexuality is a particular sort of very unnatural behavior. It belongs in the category of a sow eating her piglets, or Tom cats killing kittens. It is a blatant rejection of the natural order of things. It is virulently abnormal.

In the Bible, several cities are utterly destroyed as a result of Homosexuality. I can only regard this as a measure of God's vehemence on the subject.
