I’m of the opinion that the one in Tulsa will never re-open due to its high profile with TPD and the internal issues of shrinkage. I’m very dubious of the “plumbing issues” story. I’d especially like to hear from somebody with internal knowledge, like suppliers and how they were told to handle the leftover merchandise. Example, was the beer guy called in to pick up that inventory for re-distribution to other stores? When was the beer guy notified?

How about the perishables like milk and bread? The $$$ value of the on-shelf inventory in just one store has got to be huge...

Yeah, I’ve dropped in there a time or two, and it’s a bad clientele there, even worse than the normal Walmart ... :-) ...

The local news monkeys in Midland said that the perishables from the northside store would be donated to the food banks.

I saw one guy with a delivery truck loading some empty display racks. There was no sign of any other removal activity. The customer parking had a lot of cars due to an employee meeting. Also, the pharmacy department is still open for a couple of weeks.

Interesting. Not to mention leaving a gaping hole in local revenue.
