I agree with that possibility. There is something heinous in our nationwide leadership and it isn’t limited to DC. These people weren’t born in DC, they came to DC via their states.. The federal government can cut off all kinds of goodies, monies, close Military bases and deny FEMA to states. Don’t think they won’t and I bet we wind up without the second amendment. Are there really 38 states with the kind of bravery and will it would take to go against DC? They wouldn’t stop there, these people attack the children of those who do not comply. Palin of all people should know there are not 38 state leaders with that kind of fortitude.
They burn things down and destroy if it means they win. Operation Jade Helm will ensure everyone complies with DC, or else. We are living in Nazi Germany.
And the biggest reason to fear a Convention of States is because there is not one politician today who is worthy to lick the sweat of ANY Founding Father’s brow.
Today, with very few exceptions, politicians are obsessed with power and keeping it. ALL have higher expectations. There is ZERO concern for the will of the people. The people are only good for two things: donations and votes.
The fact that 38 states must ratify the amendments before they become law is of little comfort. The states will ratify whatever the people they sent to Convention come up with.
So, if not a Convention of the States, your solution is...???
Among all peoples who love liberty, anything ratified by 3/4 of their legislatures or conventions ought to be in the constitution. It is called free government, and not a guarantee that mistakes will not be made like the 16th, 17th, and 18th Amendments.
Wow. Hu knew.
I love ‘em both!

For those completely rejecting the idea.....why don’t we just do nothing? Really? That will help. /s
What are you blabbering about?
...contact your state reps and volunteer (at link provided, above).
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that picture!!

First you would have start by Neutering the Federal Government. Take away its control. If it can not be done then onward to a CC. If that doesn’t work then its time to seriously consider the last option.
You realize, of course, that a Constitutional Convention requires the approval and cooperation of the Federal Government you're trying to neuter.
Which is why a Convention of the States makes so much sense -- the Federal Government is totally out of the loop.
I Love that Pic of Sarah and Ted too!

I was afraid i wasn’t very clear. A CC would be the second option.
First, or i should say this is our last chance, to dismantle the OVERREACHING part Federal Government. IRS,DOE,UN Welfare...on and on.
Actually, the only way a CC would work is with a weaken, more compliant, Federal Government.
My guess is we will continued to spiral downward. Not even a Cruz can save us now. Although, i am willing to give it a shot.
If we do continue to spiral downward some, how many is the question, will resort to the last option.
EDIT:

>>> The states will send delegates with specific, limited commissions.
Some questions on this. ow are delegates allocated? Is it a certain number per state or perhaps along the lines of electoral votes? Do the current bills being passed in the states include the same commissions? If so, does each state need to pass multiple bills to reflect the different issues?
.
The problem is that our state governments have also grown too large .. too corrupt .. too incompetent.

.
Strawman much?

How so?
The states are the authority, the Fed Gov is their client.
They can modify the commission of their client at will.
.
I kick myself for not bookmarking the FL delegate statute of last year. IIRC, it provided for the delegates to obey the legislature, for recall if necessary, and felony punishment if the delegates disobey.
The convention will be federal, one vote per state, regardless of how many delegates each state sends.
Commissions will vary from state to state.
No need for multiple bills.
