I would LOVE a president to come in and say, "Y'know ... I'm not afraid of my people ... I'm afraid of YOU ... " and take all the barriers and fences down from around the White (it will be THEN) House
I’m not so sure.
When I visited the WH in 2009, the place looked like a freak show.
There were nutcase protestors all over the place, advocating every crazy thing you can imagine, and that was with Obama living there.
Under Bush it was worse.
That place does need security.
