The Brits messed with using some Blowpipe missiles from a sub. The French and Germans have messed with it too. Also they have test fired sidewinders from the launch system normally used for tomahawks (TCLS). Don’t make an absolute statement if you don’t know what you are talking about.

I did not say it was likely. Rather the opposite. But if you start saying things are impossible or don’t exist without googling first you just set your self up for embarrassment.

This was the public announcement in 2012. It was probably in dev/testing for years before this release. This was only one example of many that came up.
