Currently in the news McDonald’s employees are picketing for $15.00 an hour wages.
These jobs were always meant for the workers not skilled in a profession, but good entry level jobs for youth, or anyone willing to be trained to serve the company. It would result in all help being fired and going to self serve or robots, or order boards at all the tables. Who can/would pay $5.00 or more for a hamburger from McDonalds?
The so called minimum wage was 1.25...when I got my very first job scraping gum off the sidewalk in front of the local Woolworth’s store.

Don’t know who would/could pay $5 for a McD burger but they
do have some that are priced over $4.
