I am sure some of it had to do with environment. But not all hated what they were doing. “The beautiful beast” Enjoyed her work. She liked making lampshads out of tattoed skin. Not so attractive and not so feminine.

I often wonder that. It’s like in my last respond here where they did so much great evil, maybe thath ad a role in their looks. It reminds me of Palpatine in Star Wars who became more ugly as he used the Dark Side of the Force.
