"What does it matter?", Hillary screamed. The mobilis vulgaris have found their judas goat.
Does it ever occur to this community that you should actually cooperate with Police, instead of always fighting them? Police Officers are human beings, too, and surely would appreciate civil treatment.

Many of these neighborhoods are no less dangerous to a man in uniform than Kabul.

I got pulled over last night. Turns out my license plate light is burned out. I stopped, turned off my car, turned on the interior lights and stayed in the car.
I’m white the office was black. It ended up with a repair order and a shared laugh after I popped off a quick joke.

Police Officers are human beings, too, and surely would appreciate civil treatment. As would the people they are supposed to be serving and protecting.

"What does it matter?" Exactly, this ought not to be a national issue, but I'm a hypocrite so here is my two cents:
- Glad that guy got this on video, sorry I'm such a prurient schmuck to have watched it.
- Glad I'm not Scott.
- Glad I'm not Slager.
- Glad I don't owe $18,000 in child support and have a warrant out for me.
- Glad I don't have a broken taillight.
- Glad I'm not a SC LEO or any LEO for that matter.
- Glad I won't be in that court or on that jury.
- Hopefully I'd never be stupid enough to tussle with a LEO, otherwise resist arrest, or run away.
- Hopefully I'd never be stupid and hotheaded enough to shoot someone in the back.
- Why is the fact that Scott was "black" relevant?
- Why is the fact that Scott was "unarmed" relevant?
- If Scott was armed, does that make it more OK or less bad to shoot him in the back five times?
- Why aren't almost all felonies a capital crime?

They CAN’T cooperate with the police because they’re committing crimes. Did it ever occur to them to OBEY the law?

that is well and good too. But, from I have seen from watching shows like COPS , they do not think that we are human beings. To them, we are just criminals that have not been caught yet. Or, as in the case of the two Mexican ladies delivering newspapers and the kid going surfing, targets.

What would the Founders do?
Oh, wait - the Founders weren't "blessed" with "a cop under every rock", and didn't feel it necessary to tax themselves to the gills to support this type of standing army.
And as to their views on standing armies...
Police Officers are human beings, too, and surely would appreciate civil treatment.
And the less of them there are, the more civilly they'll be treated, I would bet.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder, as the saying goes...
Walter Scott went to lengths to avoid police

He did his best to avoid them, yet still they found him...
That tells me something about our "embarrassing wealth" of law enforcement officers - one for every 350 peasants.
I notice them everywhere, too - and their nice gas-hog rigs...

Great logic. Remind me to invite you to teach my debting classs.

but sometimes a cop has to stop and think, But news reports claim that some departments have lowered intelligence standards, and even rejected some candidates as "too smart".
and sometimes he has to watch a guy run away.
Very hard for someone indoctrinated in "us vs them" to do.
