PHOENIX -- An Arizona legislator said she's formally exploring a possible primary challenge to Sen. John McCain, a fellow Republican and five-term incumbent.
State Sen. Kelli Ward said in Monday's announcement that she wanted to provide a "new, positive, principled voice for Arizona in Washington" and that she's received strong encouragement to run in 2016.

If she can fog a mirror, she’s probably a better fit for conservatives.
Not being McStain is a good first step.
I truly pray the good folks of Arizona do not vote Insane McCain back in office. Way past time for him to retire.
Go Kelli!
She can Fog my mirror. http://www.havasunews.com/news/havasu-s-kelli-ward-confirms-she-s-exploring-senate-run/article_32f59b0c-e208-11e4-bbda-6f976f139103.html
Let’s hope she is not another Kelly Ayotte.
A Two faced, cat fighting, knife in the back kind of politician that hoodwinks voters into believing they are Conservative.
We MUST replace McCain in 2016. I'm saving up to contribute to an opponent and I'm willing to raise money in Texas for a solid conservative to run against McCain in the primary election.
A god choice.
Her Issues page has the following about her stances on immigration:
Immigration
Dr. Ward believes in legal immigration and a secure border. She also believes that states have the right to protect themselves if the Federal government will not.
Secure our borders NOW
Supported SB 1070
No amnesty for those who have broken our laws no economic, educational, or medical incentives
Supports effective law enforcement and the use of technology as a top priority of state government
Aggressively fight the drug cartels and human smugglers
Her statement that she supports “legal immigration” is neutral, because it can mean no more than that all immigration must be legal; no one would argue with that. Or it could mean she is for flooding the country with high numbers of more immigrants. She’ll have to be questioned on that. Hopefully she has studied up on the research that has been done by NumbersUSA, FAIR, CIS, et al.
Her stances on enforcement look very good and are certainly light years ahead of McPain.
I’m glad that at least one conservative is considering taking on McPain.
Watch out for John McCain Spector. (D) Arizona.
Run Kelli run!!
